This library refurbishment incorporates Australian-designed and manufactured Slimline shelving with integrated faceout display. To keep books merchandised towards the front of flat shelves, steel alignment stips have been included. These have been powdercoated to match shelving colour and are barely visable.
Mobile junior wave units create an interesting feature while providing book display and seating across the centre of the junior area. This modular unit is easy to reconfigure or move, which enables flexible use of this space. Acrylic-faced browser tubs provide clear visibility of picture book covers, supporting browsing for younger visitors.
Shelving is arranged in small clusters, with faceout display included within bays and on end panels – which combine to maximise browsing and borrowing.
