Marist Catholic College Penshurst

The client’s brief called for the inclusion of Australian-made curved shelving as a statement piece, which was carefully selected for both its design impact and functionality. The curves not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the space but also served to improve its usability. To further elevate the design, a subtle two-tone colour scheme was applied to the shelving. The backing features seasoned oak laminate, while the body of the shelving units are finished in a sophisticated charcoal tone.

This two-tone laminate finish, combining seasoned oak and charcoal, was used throughout the project to ensure a cohesive and modern look, complementing existing shelving and furniture pieces.

For individual study areas, study carrels were chosen to create focused, private workspaces. Additionally, Australian-manufactured tables were integrated to encourage group activity and interaction.

This carefully selected combination of materials and design elements creates a harmonious and functional environment that balances aesthetics with practicality.

“Our library rejuvenation project needed to deliver a flexible design that was also visually stunning – a space we could be proud of and one that students and staff would love to spend time in.  Raeco delivered beyond expectations, bringing our vision to life with perfection!”
