A key element we were looking for with the project was shelving that would allow flexible use of space. One of the requirements was that we would need to be able to move furniture to allow space for Library programs.

We were looking for a consistent style throughout the Library that highlighted the collection and provided neat top and end panels. Instead of traditional straight lines, we wanted curved shelving in some areas to create quiet reading areas within the library. For the Children’s area we wanted consistency, but also some brighter colours, to highlight areas for pre-school and primary-aged children.
